Bennett Venture Academy offers full day kindergarten for our young scholars. Their day begins at 8:15 and ends at 3:15 which is in keeping with the rest of the student body. We believe the kindergarten classrooms should be safe and supportive as the young scholars make their way into the Bennett Venture Community.

Our youngest scholars have plenty of academic, social and physical activities to fill each day. Students in kindergarten focus on reading and math through the use of Open Court Reading and Saxon Mathematics. The scholars read, write and illustrate their own stories. Hands on Science is taught with the use of science kits. Learning about the communities around them at school and in the neighborhood is the basis for kindergarten social studies.

The kindergarten students learn self discovery and awareness of the world around them is promoted through the use of stories and class discussions. There is a balance between learning independence while learning the skills necessary to work in a group setting.
